The storm resulted in the first white Christmas of record from northeastern Florida to North Carolina. States as far south as Alabama also received a measurable amount of snow. Off the coast, the wave height recorded at this point in time was the largest during this year’s nor’easter season. A category 5 on the Dolan-Davis Scale, this stormed produced waves as high as 10.7 meters.
